Home Decor

I've been reading the Make it and Love it Blog and I'm OBSESSED with it. I got an itch to make our house look more like a home, so here's what I did! I started with pillows for my couches. There was nothing there before, and now, I LOVE these pillows! I went to Joann's while they were having 50% off of their upholstery/home decor fabric, so I Totally scored there! And I already had some decorative plain pillows, that I just made slip covers for. Most of the pillows are completely made though.

Then I had some leftover fabric so I started to make some slipcovers for my barstools. Okay, so I didn't have as much fabric as I thought I did, so I had to get some more, but still, it was a good deal!
Here's the barstool before:

And here's the after:

Then I really did have enough fabric leftover from the stools that I was able to decorate my curtains. Before they were just plain solid colored curtains from Ikea.(boring, right?) I was inspired and feeling like I could do this, so I had the image in my head, then I came up with this:

I also made a grocery bag holder, which the directions are on Make it and Love it, and the slipcovers for the pillows are on there too. I did all of this in a few days... It was the week before I had my ultra sound for the baby and I was super anxious. So I had to keep myself busy. But I think it was definitely worth it. I LOVE it all! It's so nice to be able to make things that you actually like! Especially when you can SAVE sooooo much money!

A Day at the Zoo

When Brian's parents were here we went to the zoo! It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun!

New Years Eve Bash!

This was the first time I used my auto timer on my camera!

Matt didn't have his glasses or his contacts in so he had to sit super close to the TV and squint the whole time..... It was kind of funny to watch but it definitely didn't affect his singing!

We had so much fun on New Years Eve! Grandma and Grandpa Davis were in town, and Shannon, Matt and Jacob came over. We had a sliders party where we grilled up about 5 different kinds of mini burgers, and then of course pigged out on them. We played Karaoke Revolution on the WII and surprisingly, EVERYONE sang a song! And even MORE shocking..... everyone sounded good! Obviously Matt was great, but Grandpa Davis was seriously hitting every note! I was very impressed! We all stayed up till midnight and had a blast just hanging out.

Christmas Eve Breakfast 2009

Troy and the Bebee

My beautiful Mom, and Sisters Trina and Tiffany.

This cracks me up, because it is SO TRUE of my family..... The kids, never cooperate, and Trina is always stubborn!

Okay, this is just for my records..... I know it's late but whatever! The Grover Family has a tradition of going out to breakfast every Christmas Eve morning. We usually go to a place Called T.C. Eggington's but we tried something new..... Joe's Farm Grill. It was just okay. Their lunch is WAY better than their breakfast. Anyway, we still had lots of fun in the FREEZING weather!

Baby's First Photo Shoot

Here SHE is! She has her hand curled up in a fist, up by her ear, just like the boys both did in the womb. During the ultrasound she must have been tired too, because she yawned! How cute huh! Oh, and I'm NOT allowed to post the girl picture, because Brian is especially protective of this one! :)

My Excuse, for my Lack of Blogging...

Okay, so have you noticed that I haven't been keeping up with my blog as good as I should lately??? Well I have somewhat of an excuse.... I'm PREGNANT!! Yes, I am pregnant again! This is going to be baby number three! And I am already half-way done! I'm 20 weeks, and today we just found out what we're having.....
It's a GIRL!

Ya, I could not believe it. I asked the ultrasound tech like ten times, just to double check. I asked her if it will change, and she said, no..... I guess that doesn't happen in the womb. :) And I asked her how sure she was, and she said she wouldn't tell me if she wasn't 100% sure.

So, I am obviously THRILLED to have a little girl. It still feels fake. I love my boys so much and can't wait to see how stinkin cute they will be with their little sister. Oh yeah, and just think of how cute it will be to see Brian with his daughter! Wow. And Of course, I will be having the time of my life making bows and all kinds of accessories for her.

So, I am due June 15th, and everything looks right on target from the ultrasound today. She's healthy as far as they can tell, and she's really a girl..... no boy parts at all, and only female parts. Which by the way, I was actually very surprised at how different it looks on the ultrasound rather than the boys... You can TOTALLY tell.

We are just so happy to have a new little one coming soon.
I'm feeling great now, and I bought some girl stuff already today! It was fun. I'm going to make some bows tonight to match the dresses! hehehe!

Oh yeah, and we already have a name for her. I have had this name in mind FOREVER! And we talked about it today and it SO fits! She will be named:
Sadie Lynne Davis

Sadie is a name I have loved for a long time, and today I just found out that it's my great grandma's first name! So I thought that was really cool. And MY middle name is Lynn, without the e but my mother-in-law's middle name is Lynne, with an E so, I thought it would be cute to add the E, for her. Anyway, Sorry this is such a long post. I'll post some belly pictures soon!
