Pregnancy Moment...

About 30 minutes ago we were watching the Discovery Channel and the commercial came on where they are singing to "I Love the Mountains" and they changed it to say everything they love about the whole world and about shows that are on the discovery channel. Well for some reason, this really got to me today, especially when they said, "I love the whole world, boom-de-ya-da boom-de-ya-da boom-de-ya-da boom-de-ya...." Yeah, I got all teary eyed and started crying. I like that commercial butreally the world that we live in is amazing, and we are so blessed to have such a beautiful planet. So anyway, that was my freaky pregnancy cry for the day.

Mom's having fun... and Starting a TAG!!!

I have been looking at my friends wonderful photography blogs lately, and it inspired me, to pick up my camera, and give it a try. I didn't last very long, because it's a lot harder to take pictures of your own kid, especially by yourself, and Logan is just too busy to try and focus every shot, but here are a few....I know, I'm a little rusty, but I'm getting there! Thanks for the inspiration Niki and Heather......
So now I am starting a tag, to take fun pictures, and edit, or do what ever to them you want.... let's see what you all come up with. I'm tagging Emily, Niki, Heather, Alisha, and Chira. Let's see your creative sides! I know you have them!
Here's Logan's "Chair" series: (I know there's a repeat, but I couldn't decide if I liked it better in black and white or color, so I put both!)

And here's Logan's naked bum in his little pool:
Logan grabbed the hose in this one and just started spraying his bum, it was pretty funny.

That's pretty much it, but it was really fun. You all should do this. Even if you're not a 'photographer' or whatever, try to be creative in the poses and styles of pictures. It's fun, well at least I had fun with it, and I hope you do too!

Logan's Black Eye

The last week of March, Logan got his very first black eye. We were having a picnic in our backyard on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and Logan was playing with his T-Ball stand. He ran over it and fell right on top of it and it somehow poked his eye really bad. Here's the pics. He wouldn't sit still long enough to let me take a very good picture, but here it is, in it's healing stages. It took a full week or so to get rid of it!

Brian and Trisha's 3 year anniversary

This was a while ago, but I haven't uploaded any pictures to anything yet from this trip, so I thought I'd blog about it.
Last year, in October, for our 3 year anniversary Brian and I went to Sedona, AZ and a few other places 'around the area.' (I put that in quotations for the story to come... Grandma and Grandpa Grover, and all the other Grovers in the area babysat for us, the whole time! We stayed in a resort provided by my wonderful sister Tammy, who totally hooked us up! So we started the trip with an amazing dinner at this Italian place, that Brian just LOVED! The whole town of Sedona is just gorgeous, so one day we decided to go on a hike. It ended up being more of a strenuous hike than we had wanted, but it was still very pretty.

We also went to La' Auberge for breakfast one morning. It was actually this really pretty resort with individual cottages right by the creek. We had world famous macadamia crusted french toast, and stopped to take some pictures there, because it was so pretty. We ate right by the water and had an amazing view.

One of the full days that we had there we wanted to go see the Grand Canyon, because neither of us had been there. Well, we heard that it was only about 2 hours from where we were, so it would be a perfect day trip. So we left with what we thought were good directions. A few hours had gone by, and apparently a few wrong turns here and there, and we realized that we were in the middle of no where. We stopped to ask for directions, and they told us even more wrong directions. So we just kept going down this road that was leading to no where, and then all of the sudden something starts looking familiar to me. We had been driving for about 6 or 7 hours by now, and then we finally saw a road sign that said "Welcome to Lake Powell." We ended up all the way at Lake Powell, almost the complete opposite of the Grand Canyon. It was funny, (a little) and we stopped to look around, and then turned around. At this point I just wanted to go back to the resort, but Brian was determined to see that stupid canyon. So we finally bought a map and actually ended up at the Grand Canyon a few hours later.
The view of the Canyon were absolutely beautiful. We got there just before sunset, and here are some pics:

And here's Brian trying to freak me out and "fall"into the Grand Canyon. He was seriously trying to rock climb down into it and I finally just had to walk away from him. I took this picture, and I was seriously shaking and had tears in my eyes.....it wasn't funny!

Oh yeah, I don't know if any of you heard about the little girl that just fell into the Grand Canyon, just walked off into it and died, well, that happened a week before we went here. Luckily we both got out of there alive and intact, and finally headed back to our resort.
We had a nice dinner and just relaxed the rest of the time. It ended up being such an amazing trip overall, and it was a great way to celebrate our marriage of 3 years now! We are so thankful to everyone that made it possible for us to go, and we love you all! Oh and by the way, we stopped by the outlets at Anthem on our way back to Phoenix, it was fun! :)

Logan's Swim Trunks

A few weeks ago on a Saturday, Brian got a little blow-up baby pool and he took Logan out there to play. I was gone all day, for a "Trisha" day, and I came home and I saw Brian's swim trunks and Logan's Infant sized (0 to 3 months) pants hanging over the shower curtain. I picked them up and saw that they were dirty and majorly stretched out. I thought.....there's no way that Brian actually put those pants on him today, no way. Then I asked Brian about it. He said, "Yeah, I thought they looked a little small! His belly was really hanging out, and even his love handles, but I just thought he's growing so fast so we made it work..." So I find out that Brian put our almost 2 year old in his newborn pants that don't even fit his little 6 month old cousin anymore. I thought it was pretty funny. So yesterday I put the pants back on him for a picture. Enjoy!!! :)

Our trip to San Diego!!!

Two fridays ago we left to San Diego! We stayed with Brian's family, and Jordan (Brian's brother) generously gave up his room for us the whole week! We just went out to visit with Brian's family, because we don't get to see them very often. Plus Brian just needed a break, and what better way to relax, than to be at home with your family? We went on a picnic at Lake Poway with Brian's parents one day, and we had a blast there! It was so nice and beautiful there. We also saw a lot of the places that got burned from the wildfires, which was sad. We went to the Wild Animal park and we saw the lions! It was really cool, because we got to see them right up from and all that was separating us from them was a glass wall. The daddy lion was huge, and then there were 7 cubs that were only a few months old and then there was 2 mommies. I thought the cubs were so cute from far away, until I saw how big they were up close...... not so little. They were about 3 times the size of Logan! It was really cool though!
Here's Logan and Meaghen on the Carousel at the Wild Animal Park. He cried every time we took him off!

We went out with Brian's parents one night to see Leatherheads, and then we went out to dinner. Meaghen (Brian's little sister) babysat for us!!!! We had such a good time with them, and it was so nice to spend time with them! I (Trisha) got to hang out with Tiffany, and it was sooooo good to see her too. We mostly just hung out with the family for fun, and just enjoyed talking and being with each other. Logan was so happy to be there because of the Meow (cat) and the Dochhhhhh (Dog). Brian and papa also got him his own shishy (fish) for their tank! He named it "Shark." By the time we left, Logan had renamed Meaghen to Mimi, and Jordan to Juju. He loved being there and loved all of them! We left on Saturday, and we had such a good time with them. We are so thankful to have such an amazing family, who loves us and we love them so much!

Davis Family Journal

4/20/2008
So things have been very exciting around here lately. On Thursday night, Logan was a little fussy, and I picked him up and he went to hug me and then threw up all over me. It was sooo nasty. I was cleaning myself up, and changing my clothes, and there was barf in my cleavage! Yeah, it was raunchy! The next morning I woke up to find Brian puking his guts out. He was throwing up almost all morning, and then couldn't eat until Saturday. Then of course, Saturday I wake up feeling really sick. And I threw up bile all night. I'm still a little sick today. It was really wierd. All 3 of us got sick, and I can't remember the last time I was this sick! It's not fun! I'm starting to get better, and I'm sure I'll be back to good by tomorrow, but man, it's been rough. Brian and Logan are both 100% now, and we're all going to be fine. It's amazing how we all got sick within days of each other. Anyway, that's all that's going on right now, just thought I'd write it down!

04/16/2008
I'm starting a new post, my journal. I am seriously copying everyone else I know, especially Emily, but I don't keep a journal at all so I'm going to start now!
Lately things have been pretty boring, nothing too exciting. Yesterday I was straightening my hair while Logan was in the bathtub (I was right there with him) and then I smelled something funny. I looked at him and he was popping a squat, quite literally, and he pooped in the tub! It was soooo gross! I seriously almost threw up when I was cleaning it up! I was gagging the whole time, but I managed to get through it without puking! Something else I have been wanting to record for a while, just so I remember it, is something Logan has been doing for a few weeks now. I let him go outside and play by himself, while I'm cleaning the kitchen, because I can just watch him from inside. So one day for some reason, I was watching him play, and I whistled out the door at him. Then he looked around and didn't see me and made a whistling sound back to me. (He can't whistle, so he just kind of sang a note!) Then I did it again, and I hid this time. He looked around again, and made the same sound. It was so funny. We did it a few more times. I still do it from time to time, like today, and it is just the funniest thing ever! I hope I always remember this!

Yesterday I went shopping with Emily and I got Logan a rash gaurd from Children's Place. It's super cute, and he wore it today in his baby pool out back. I think he liked it! He also got to wear his new flip flops, and when he first put them on it was soooo funny. He was high stepping because he didn't know how to walk in them. It was really cute.
Lately I have been trying to cook more, which hasn't been going very well. I don't know what the deal is, I just can't compare to my mother or my mother-in-law's cooking.
So as you can see, nothing too exciting is going on with me right now. Just more stuff about Logan. Brian is doing really well at his job, and I'm so lucky to have such a great husband! Life is good, what more can I say????

Wedding Tag

Okay, so I guess I have been tagged! (I'm it!!!)I'm excited! Anyway, So I guess I'm going to tell you about my wedding, and put up some wedding pictures! Emily tagged me, and I'm not a very good blogger but I'll try to be cute! It's fun to look back through these pics and see how cute and in love we were.....also not to mention, it's nice to see that I used to be HOT!!! :) Okay, here we go! Enjoy!

1. What date is your anniversary?
November 19, 2004

2. Where did you get married?
San Diego, CA Temple

3. Who proposed and how?
Brian accidentally proposed! It was about 2 or 3 weeks after we met and had been dating, and we were at Brian's place (he was living with his Grandma at the time) and it was late, like probably around midnight. We were having a serious talk about our pasts and all that good stuff, and about marriage, and just a really good spiritual talk. Then he said he wanted to share something with me that he had never shared with anyone else. He pulled out his journal that he had kept before his mission, and he told me to read this. It was a letter to his future wife, and it was the sweetest thing I had ever seen! It was so cute, I remember part of it said somehting like "I can't wait to see you all pregnant, wearing overalls and a white T-shirt, with your hair all up!" It was a letter all about how excited he was to marry me and spend eternity with me, and so of course I was crying when I was reading it, and then he said that he only wanted to show that to his wife, and so that was his way of asking me. So I totally thought it was him asking me to marry him, and I said, "I can't wait to spend eternity with you!" And of course we cried and kissed and all that good stuff, and then I found out later, that he didn't know that he was actually asking me to marry him then. But it was too late! I already accepted!

4. How long were you engaged?
We were engaged for about 6 months.

5. What was your favorite part of your wedding day? (Besides your hubby, hopefully!)
I think my favorite part was probably coming ou of the temple seeing everyone, and being newly married! I was in such shock, and just sheer happiness that the whole temple experience was just pure bliss! It was also funny when I first walked out of the temple with Brian and my little sister Trina was yelling profanities at me, because I "married her boyfriend." (She has downsyndrome, FYI). That was pretty memorable too!

6. What would you change if you could?
I would change the reception the next day in AZ. We got married on friday and then on saturday morning we had to rush out to AZ, which on the way we got a speeding ticket, and killed 3 birds, and then we were late for our own reception and pictures, and the photographer was pissy and just being rude. Then I was super stressed out, and me and Brian ended up getting in a fight that night, and starting our honeymoon off in a fight! Yeah, it was great.....so great that I would definitely want to change that. I was so tired and just worn out from the wedding day before and open house in San Diego, and then traveling to AZ the very next day, and doing it all over again, that it was just a mess! (I will say that the whole making up part of the honeymoon was a great way to kick start it!!!)

7. Wedding colors?
Pink and Black, with silver accents.

8. Do you remember anything special from your ceremony? Anything special? Any comical moments?
Well, there are a few things. I was so afraid to show any kind of affection to Brian in the Temple, because I didn't want to be inappropriate, so we weren't holding hands at the beginning of the ceremony. Then the sealer stops and says, "I would feel a lot more comfortable if you two were holding hands right now." It was kind of cute, and then I felt dumb for not holding his hand, at our own wedding!!! Then after the ceremony one of my good guy friends from high school was there at the ceremony, and it was so cool because he was my only friend there, at all. I was just so excited that one of my friends was actually there at my wedding, because I kinda had a crazy past! So anyway, I gave him a big hug, so big that Brian was like, Trisha what the heck! At the time, I didn't realize that it was probably a little out of line, but oh well!

9. Were you clean or messy when you cut your wedding cake?
Definitely clean and nice, if Brian was mean, my dad would have kicked his butt!

10. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Scottsdale, AZ for a few days, and stayed in a condo, and just had fun, and then on Thanksgiving day we went to Disneyland. Then Brian went back to school on Monday, so it was fun. But then for our "real" honeymoon we went on a cruise about a year later to the Bahamas, and Key West, and also Orlando, Florida. It was so much fun!

11. How long have you been married now?
We have been married for 3 years and 5 months! Time flies by!

Okay, so I tag Nicole, and anyone else who wants to do this! You're IT!

Pregnancy Journal

Here are the belly pictures at 20 weeks. I haven't written in this journal in forever, but basically, I found out that we're having another boy, and I was still super healthy! Starting to show a little bit!

5/27/08-
Today I am 20 weeks and 2 days Pregnant,so I call that about half-way-pregnant! Im so excited! We find out what we're having on Thursday, and I also find out how much weight I gained this month:(. I feel like I pigged out all month long. I just can't stop eating! I try not to, bu I just can't help it! Now I know how people get really obese. I need help! That's been myonly main concern this past month. I have also been really really emotional. I have kind of been a nut case. My crying spells have turned into almost every day, several times a day. Yeah, I think I'll be asking my doctor for happy pills on Thursday! Other than getting really fat and being a little crazy though, I think I've been pretty healthy, as far as the baby is concerned. My skin is finally starting to clear up! I feel the baby move all day long, every day! I love to feel the little kicks, and imagine how cute the little baby is kicking me inside the womb. I can just imagine it's cute little feet and hands squirming around in there. It's actually moving right now! :). I am so excited to have another baby! I just hope it's healthy and happy! The picture at the top is my monthly picture of my belly. It's definitely getting rounder now and poking out more and more almost every day. I had another dream a few days ago that we're having a boy, but we will know for sure on Thursday. So until then....
5/4/08-
Today I am exactly 17 weeks! I went to the doctor on Wednesday for my monthly check up and everything is still going good! I heard the baby's heartbeat again, and I am still feeling movement. I feel like I'm really getting a belly now, but I can still wear my pants, buttoned and everything, it's just a little uncomfortable when I sit down. I gained a few pounds this month :( but my Thyroid medicine was also low this last month and a half so I'm blaming the weight gain on that! :) Whatever makes you feel better about yourself right??? I scheduled the appointment for the ultrasound to find out what we're having! It's May 29th and 10:20am! I'm super excited. I still feel really strong that it's a boy, but I'm kind of thinking it could be a girl too. I go through my phases. Most of the time I'm 98% sure it's a boy, but every once in a while I feel like it's a girl....I'm probably just keeping hope and having fun entertaining the thought of having a girl, right? :) Oh well, I really just want a healthy baby, and not to gain too much weight with this kid. Everything is still good, so nothing too exciting to report!

04/24/2008-
Today I am 15 and a 1/2 weeks along!!! On Sunday I'll be 16 weeks! Still doing good, although I am starting to feel like I'm showing....or at least my fat over the baby is showing more! :) I decided I'm going to take a monthly picture of myself now, so I see the progress..... by the way, please don't comment right now that I look really pregnant, or that my "belly" is so cute.... I'm still not ready to face the fact that I'm getting bigger, so don't even mention it! Thanks!
Trisha at almost 16 weeks (4/23/08)

04/16/2008-
Today I am 14 weeks and 3 days pregnant! I am officially in my second trimester, and I am 3 1/2 months along. I feel like my stomach is getting fat, and my clothes are getting to be uncomfortable. They're not tighter or anything, but it just hurts now if I sit down and they dig into the baby. I wear Brian's comfy PJ pants almost all of the time when I'm at home. I think I'll probably start showing sooner this time, because that's what everyone says happens. I read somewhere that the you show sooner with the 2nd kid because your body already knows what to do and where it wants to put the baby, so it pops sooner. Oh well..... I have exercising a lot more lately so hopefully that will help! I am still feeling really well, other than the normal fatigue. I feel the baby move more and more lately. And I recently had another dream about the baby being a boy. It has been my fifth or sixth dream about the baby being a boy since I have been pregnant this time. I'm pretty sure that we're having another boy. I am completely convinced, but there's always that chance that I'm wrong. I knew Logan was a boy before we found out too. I just had a feeling, and even though I want a girl, I really think it's a boy. Which is fine, I just want a healthy, happy baby! Right now the new name that I'm stuck on is Caylex. It's a Padres player's name, but I heard it and I really like it. It's different, but cute too. I really like the name Jackson, but not Jack, and Brian swears that people will call him Jack if we name him that. So that's out of the question. The baby is about 4 inches long now, and he's already sucking his thumb and making facial expressions. Now it's really just a matter of getting bigger and developing muscles, and finishing the whole development process. It's weird to think that all of his major organs are already developed. The whole baby growing process is really a miracle. It's also a miracle that I can actually do this, and survive!!! :) Anyway, things are going good. I have a doctor's appointment on the 30th so I'll write after that!

My first entry.......
So I'm almost 13 weeks along! That means I'm pretty much done with my first trimester! I have been feeling sooo good, it's almost scary! I only puked a few times, and I was nauseous for a good 2 months, but I feel like I'm over that! I have been healthy and doing really well. I have to eat every 2-3 hours in the mornings/afternoons but I try to eat good foods. I haven't gained any weight!!! (Thank Heavens!) And I'm starting to feel the baby flutter around every once in a while. I'm tired, but I make sure I get a good night's rest, and try to have a nap here and there! Logan keeps me busy, which is a good thing, and I'm just trying to stay healthy and happy right now! I go through my emotional crying breakdowns about once a week, but for me, that is completely normal. I'm just very emotional when I'm pregnant. (Although most of you have figured that out by now!) We heard the heartbeat yesterday, and that was very reassuring! I'm excited to have another baby! So for now, I'm just doing great, considering all of the things that could be bad!

Some funny Stories about Logan

A few weeks ago on a Saturday morning we were all getting ready to go out. Logan had just got out of the shower and was running around naked, only for a minute or two and Brian and I were getting dressed. All of the sudden Brian goes to put a diaper on Logan, and I hear Brian screaming at the top of his lungs, "TRISHAAAAAAA, HELPPPPPP!" So I cautiously go into the kitchen to see Logan standing there naked right next to his "Brownie." Brian said that he went to the kitchen where Logan was holding what looked like a Brownie. Logan handed it to Brian and said "Thank You" and just as Brian went to grab it from him he freaked out because it wasn't a Brownie...it was a huge turd of poop! Logan dropped it, and needless to say had another bath, and then got a diaper right away....and of course, I mopped up the floor! Yes, the joys, of children!

One of Logan's favorite things is Elmo. He loves Elmo and I swear he has an Elmo radar! We were in the store one day, in the baby food area and all of the sudden Logan starts going, "La La!!! La La!" Then we saw that there was a sippy cup with LaLa (Elmo) on it, and we figured out that LaLa was Elmo. So ever since then, Elmo has been LaLa. I'm sure it's because of the song. Anyway, it's cute!

I've been trying to tell Logan that we're going to have a baby, and that there's a baby in mommy's tummy. So the other day I was showing him that there's a baby in there, and he came up to me and started patting my tummy, and saying soft, (because I taught him to be soft with babies) and then he gave my tummy kisses! It was the cutest thing ever. Then yesterday when we went to the doctor and the doc pulled up my shirt to hear the heartbeat Logan shouted out "Baby!". He was so cute and excited!

About a week ago I asked Brian for a blessing, because I have been way too emotional lately. So we all sat down and Brian gave me a blessing. Right after that Logan came over and sat up on the chair, and folded his arms and bowed his head and closed his eyes. Brian asked him if he wanted a blessing too, and he said, "yeah." So Brian gave him a quick blessing hoping that he didn't get up and run away before it was over, and Logan just sat there the whole time like a little angel, and smiled, and listened. Then when it was over he gave Brian a hug and said "Dank Do" (Thank you). It was one of the sweetest things I have ever witnessed in my entire life!

The Joy/light/monster/stinker/cutest kid in the world/angel/devilchild of our lives

From the minute we got married we knew we wanted to have kids. It took us about 10 months to get pregnant, and on May 31, 2006 we had our first son Logan. He was 9 pounds 22 1/2 inches. I was enormous, just in case you were wondering! He had a ton of curly crazy hair, and was so much fun right from the beginning! He is now almost 2 years old and just as cute as can be. He runs faster than I do, and yells as loud as I do. Sometimes we have yelling contests in the car, because that's the only way we both stay sane sometimes! I am privileged to stay home with him and spend time with him. He absolutely loves his Dadda! He asks for him every morning when he's not there, and plays catch, and baseball and all the crazy boy stuff that they love to do together. They are so stinking cute! I'll admit it, I don't really know how to play with Logan, so instead, I just read to him and feed him, bathe, clothe, and take care of him all day, and let Daddy do the playing at night! It works out really well!
A few months ago we decided that Logan needed a little sister, hopefully, but a brother will do too, and I guess Heavenly Father must have thought we needed another kid right away too, because a few weeks later we found out that we're pregnant! I'm due October 11, and we just heard the heartbeat for the first time yesterday! Everything is going well so far, and we are excited to have another kid!

The story of us...

Okay, so it all started out when my wonderful sister Tiffany asked me to move out to San Diego to live with her. She must have been inspired because less than a month later I met Brian. I actually went to a singles bonfire at Mission Beach on a Friday night, all by myself, because Tiffany had a date, and my roommate ditched me with her boyfriend. So I ended up talking to everyone except this really hot guy that was skateboarding and playing football. Two days later, (Mother's Day) Tiffany introduced me to this really awesome guy at Church, Brian Davis. He looked at me and said, "Wait a minute, were you at the bonfire on Friday at Mission Beach?" I said, "Yeah, were you the guy on the skateboard?" He blushed, and so did I and we pretty much knew it was over from there. I invited him to my own "Welcome me to San Diego" party that night, and he fought with the other guys for my attention all night. We had a great time together that night, but he didn't call. So I didn't waste any time, and I went out with another guy I met that day.... He heard about it and was way turned off, until he saw me at church on Sunday and he just couldn't resist me. I 'just happened' to be leaving at the same time that he was, and in the parking lot we started talking again. He called me a few days later and asked me out to a movie....actually me AND Tiffany out to a movie, but Tiffany was busy. (Yeah, he didn't have too many skills) So anyway, we saw 13 Going on 30, and talked all night. Then we couldn't stop seeing each other. I seriously knew from the minute Tiffany introduced us that he was the one. We saw each other every day for 2 weeks, and then we were engaged.

Brian actually proposed on accident....well, at least that's what he says. But of course, I thought it was for real, so I said all giddy and cheezy, "I can't wait to spend eternity with you!" And that was that! About 6 months later we were married in the San Diego Temple, on November 19, 2004. It was truly meant to be!
