Christmas 2009

Sporting his new apron I made him! Isn't it cute! I was proud!

Holy Cow! Christmas time has already come and go AGAIN! Only this time we had two little rascals running around our Christmas Tree! We stayed here in AZ this Christmas, and had so much fun. Brian was able to take a few days off the week of Christmas to hang out with us and we cherished every second of it. We played together, sang Holly Jolly Christmas a million times, and most importantly, loved every minute together as a family. I love Christmas, and we were truly given the best gift ever on that first Christmas morning, the birth of Jesus Christ. I know that without him I would not have any of what I have today.

On a less spiritual note, we had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve dinner with my mom was great. Christmas morning was so priceless, the look on Logan and Jaxon's faces when they came downstairs to see all the presents under the tree. They were stunned! So unexpecting of anything, yet full of joy. They loved opening the gifts, and telling us to tell Santa thank you. Logan is still puzzled by how Santa brought him all of the presents and he didn't see him at all... It was great. It's so fun to be parents and watch your kids just full of happiness. I hope you all had a great Christmas, presents or not. After all that's not what Christmas is all about..... It's about our Savior, Christ the Lord. He was the best gift ever. Merry Christmas!

Snow Day

This was the closest thing to a smile Jaxon made the whole time we were there.

A few days before Christmas there was a huge blizzard in Flagstaff and the higher elevation areas, like Payson. So we took a day trip to Payson two days before Christmas. It was BEAUTIFUL! Payson is such a pretty town anyway, but to see it just covered in snow was such a sight! Logan kept asking if we were there yet, and then fell asleep 20 minutes before we got there, so he missed most of the snow on the drive there. We got out and played around by the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery.

Brian and Logan built a snowman.

Logan ate the snow. Jaxon ran around for a few minutes, until he got mad because he was cold and wet and kept falling in the snow.

Jaxon cried almost the entire time. He's not a fan of the cold. Then he cried the rest of the time we were there. Oh, except for about a minute when he went tubing down the hill with Brian.

Brian went sliding down a hill about ten times, until the tube hit a rock and it exploded.

Within five minutes our fun adventure in the snow turned into a horrible-lets get out of here as fast as we can- experience! The boys had so much fun for about 30 minutes and then they had just HAD it! They were done being cold, done being wet, done eating snow, done freezing their butts off, and just wanted to be warm and dry. So we changed them into their spare dry clothes, packed up and drove back home.

We all had a great time, but there's definitely a breaking point with kids, when you just have to get out of there. So I think we would do it again, next time with some snow gear, but we had so much fun!

Corn Dogs

Logan LOVES hot dogs. I bought a package of frozen corn dogs for him, and gave him one a while afo. He started calling it a "Horn Dog." Yes, with an H. Why?? I have no idea? He used to say it just fine. But not anymore. He always says Horn Dog now, and it cracks me up everytime. Just imagine his sweet little voice, "Thank you mommy, I really like my horn dog!"

Just cute

This is the most recent picture... We just decorated our tree! The boys LOVED every minute of it! Jaxon kept taking the balls off and then trying to put them back on. We continued the Davis family tradition of letting the kids choose a new ornament every year, and the boys both chose big decorative birds! LOL! Seriously? Out of all the fun things they could get, Jaxon wanted that bird, and once Jaxon had it, Logan wanted it too... I actually like the way the look in th tree..... I think Brian's still mad. Fun tradition though.

Doctor's Office Playground. I think this was on his birthday, or around there.

Ya, I'm horrible..... Oreos for breakfast. It's one of my weaknesses!

Cute cap. We didn't buy it.
I can just hear Jaxon saying, "huuuhh!"
I'm posting these, just because they're cute!

Why I Love My Job!

This is one of the many reasons I love my job..... Check out my makeover! One day after school Trina actually let me do her hair and makeup! She looked beautiful... Then she insisted that I let her do my hair and makeup. I figured it was only fair. And what the heck, it's washable right??? This is how HOT I looked after she was done with me! Nice!

Jaxon Turns One!

On October 7th Jaxon turned a year old! I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and let him have a giant one all by himself.... To my disappointment, he didn't make that big of a mess. Why does that always happen? I think he was tired. We had a fun day of playing at the park and going to lunch and getting shots at the doctor..... It was a long day. But we had our own little family celebration on his actual birthday. Brian got him a baseball mitt and a little push motorcycle. Of course I got him clothes. He says "Ball" and sometimes "Mama" "Dada" and "Lolan" (Logan). He has climbed on top of our kitchen table and fallen off, probably more than once, and mastered going up AND down the stairs by himself within the forst 2 days of living in our house!. This little boy is so agile, I will be shocked if he doesn't play sports! He's full of life and we love him!

Frog and Lizard 911

One lovely day back in the apartment..... that seems so long ago.... Emily came over for a pizza day. The kids were playing, we were eating our pizza and drinking Wild Cherry Pepsi and Logan tells me he needs to go poop. So he goes to the bathroom. He usually takes a while, because it takes him some time to wipe his butt, and gget his pants back on and wash his hands. Well, more than a while had gone by and Em says, "Uh, is Logan still in the bathroom?" Oh no..... yes he was. I run in there only to see Logan, half naked, filling the Frog/Lizard cage with water. The poor frog was clinging to the sides of the cage, close to the top, and the lizard was completely on the lid of the cage (inside, duh).
I literally about have a panic attack for 2 reasons: 1: I know I'm NOT going to touch either the frog or the lizard to get them out of there. and 2: WHAT IF THEY DIE????
Yes, I was freaking out. I actually like the frog. I think he's cute. I still don't want to touch him, but I don't want him to die either! I really didn't want these little guys to drown! So in a panic, I call Brian, completely frantic on the phone. The first thing I said was, "Oh my gosh, we have a problem!" (This whole time I'm screaming to Emily too and and saying I don't know what to do!!!) Before I get to the whole story of what happened to the pets he asks me..... "Wait a minute, so where are the kids? Are the kids okay?" And of course I respond, "Ya of course they're okay....." Then he says, "Oh my gosh I could strangle you right now, you had me running out to my car, heading home..." He thought the kids drowned in the bath tub or something. Ya, I was freaking out that bad! I told him the whole story, and he said they would be fine. Just to unplug everything and wait until he got home. Crisis solved. And I didn't even have to touch them! Ya, it was funny. They all lived happily ever after.I think the frog actually enjoyed the bath time.

Logan's Hair cut.

This tells you how long ago this was..... Logan got a hair cut in this picture, and already needs another haircut! I think this was in August maybe. He's just too cute, I couldn't resist posting.

Catching up!

I have been HORRIBLE with blogging lately..... so here are some things that we have been up to. And I apologize for the quality of the pictures. They are all from my phone camera. Anywho, better than nothing right! Okay, here goes.

Summertime was fun this year with two crazy boys!
Most days they ended up in their undies outside at my parent's house, playing with the water. They love to help my parents water their trees! It's really cute. Logan likes the water so much he actually turned on the hose today, and soaked himself and Carson! Ya, not so fun in 60 degree weather! He told me he was sorry, and that he wouldn't do it again....... we'll see how long that lasts.
