FHE

This is what we did for family Home Evening last week. We made Christmas cards. The boys LOVED every minute of it, until Jaxon was too tired and wouldn't stop crying. They especially loved glueing the stuff onto the card. Jaxon liked just spreading the glue all around! It was a fun evening.

Vertuccio Farms

Did I mention that I started a little preschool for Logan? I have been wanting to do a joy school type of thing for a while and I was looking online for curriculum. So I talked to a few friends in my ward who also have kids that wanted to do joy school and we all got together, discussed the curriculum and started it! We kind of use the curriculum from letteroftheweek.com, but add lots of things. We mostly just do a letter, number, shape, color, story, vocabulary word, and theme of the week. Each mom teaches one week out of the month and we just rotate. I LOVE it! It has been awesome for Logan. Sometimes Jaxon goes too. So, we try to take a monthly field trip for the kids, and the week of Halloween, our preschool took a field trip to Vertuccio Farms. We had lots of fun! Here's what we did!
We ran through a hay maze. Logan and Jaxon didn't make it to the middle but the girls did, because unlike the boys, they listened to their mom's directions..... So typical.
We played on a big teeter-totter! The moms had to help out.
We looked at some chickens, turkeys, pigs, and a big brown cow that wouldn't stop mooing. Oh ya, and a donkey that bit my jacket straps! Ya, it freaked me out.
We posed for a mug shot.
We milked a fake cow.

That was hard work!

Jaxon opted out of the whole milking process, so just held onto the cows tail instead.

We rode a cow train pulled by a tractor!

And Sadie looked cute the whole time!

Then we ate lunch and came home for naps!
The End.

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year. I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off, (like I always do) the week of Halloween trying to get the kids costumes in line. I made Logan's shirt, totally from scratch, I even took a red sharpie to the yellow fabric and drew the lines on his shirt. I couldn't find anything like what I wanted in the stores, so I had to do it. BUT it was well worth it. Jaxon's costume, Bam Bam was pretty easy, just keeping it on his little body was a little tricky. I used safety pins though, a LOT of pins!  And I started making Sadie a Pebbles costume, when my sweet mom came over and stopped me and said, "I'll just buy her one!" So she came back an hour later with an ADORABLE TinkerBell costume from the Disney Store, which she got on Clearance! I loved it! And she madea  quick headband then we went to the trunk or treat. We didn't pass out candy this year, or even go trick or treating on Halloween because it was a sunday, and our kids didn't care! So we did the church thing and the kids has so much fun. Logan and Jaxon wanted to wear their costumes every day that whole week, and they pretty much did. Then Monday morning, I grabbed the costumes and put them away in the Halloween box before they woke up......out of sight, out of mind, right? No, Wrong. OF course Logan asked about it, but I had to keep telling him that Halloween was over. Anyway, we had lots of fun, and I was totally pleased with the costumes!

Halloween Preview

It's super hard for me to post a picture that is unedited. But here it is: Just for you Grandma San Diego! And don't even get me started on the terrible lighting. I know, I know..... you would think I'd do a better job than this. Oh well..... I'll have to try again!

Thank You

Dear Grandma San Diego,
Thank you so much for my pink blanket! I love to roll around on it and spit up all over it. It's so comfy and cute.

Love,

Sadie

Sassy Sadie

Sadie is 4 months old now. She weighs 15.1 pounds! What a chub huh! I think she's about 24 inches long, I don't remember exactly. She is an amazing sleeper now, sometimes sleeping through the night. If she wakes up it's only once usually and she eats and goes to sleep for another 6 to 8 hours! I swear, girls must just need their beauty rest! The boys NEVER slept like that. Still don't. She also naps a few times a day. She's growing out of her reflux which makes life so much better. She still spits up a lot but not as much as before, and it doesn't seem to bother her like it did. She sucks her fingers, usually her middle two, or her thumb and puts herself to sleep. She's so incredibly happy, most of the time. She's healthy, and we just love her to pieces.

Jaxon's Two!

(By the way, Emily took a really cool picture of a little boy's legs and feet, and I tried to copy, so thanks Em!)
Jaxon turned two years old last thursday! Here are some pictures I just took at the park tonight..... He wasn't cooperating, and was almost constantly moving and it was a little too dark for what I wanted but a few turned out!

Surprise

Last sunday Jaxon went from this:
To this:
Quite a difference huh! I finally broke down and just had to get his hair cut. IT was just too girly, and hot and always in his eyes. So Brian cut it all off. It's short, but I think he's still just cute as can be! (We probably won't cut it again until next year!)

Mile Marker

Today Sadie hit the milestone of rolling over from her back to her belly! I thought she would have figured it out a few days ago, but she kept getting stuck on her arm and just giving up on her side. So today she finally did it and once she got it, she was so proud of herself! She kept doing it all day! My little girl is growing. I take her in for her 4 month check up tomorrow, so we'll see how chubby she is!

Photography

So if you read my blog regularly, you may have noticed that I have done a few photoshoots lately. Well, I just started a photography blog and I'm trying to do it on the side! So if you or anyone you know needs pictures done, have them contact me if you like my work! I'm still learning, so I will not be offended if you don't choose me! But I decided that if I want to be professional about photography someday, I have to start somewhere. So, let me know what you think! Check it out:

Tide Pools

While we were in San Diego we went to the Tide Pools in La Jolla. I think the boys had just as much fun there, maybe more as they did a the beach the day before! They found lots of little hermit crabs and real crabs and Logan even stuck his fingers in the sea anemones. San Diego, it's just amazing! I miss it..... and I'm not even from there! I'm a TRUE Native "Zonie!"

Life-Loving Logan

Meaghen built Logan a "Sand Car" and of course Jaxon wanted one too, so he got a side sand car.

Since I just did a post all about Jaxon, I feel like I need to do one about just Logan, and eventually just Sadie! So here's Logan's!
Some things Logan does right now:
*LOVES to play!
*Dances Silly (Hence the series of his silly poses at the beach!)
*Does NOT like to smile for the camera
*Logan is such a big helper
*Loves to talk NON-STOP
*Can count to 20, most of the time correctly!
*Learning how to write his letters
*Loves to help mommy and daddy cook
*He's a sugar-a-holic
*He plays so nicely with his brother
*Absolutely adores his sister..... sometimes a little TOO much!
*He had so much fun in San Diego with his grandparents, and Aunts Tiffany and Meaghen, and uncles Jordan and Troy. He's lucky to have such a great family!
