Christmas 2009

Sporting his new apron I made him! Isn't it cute! I was proud!

Holy Cow! Christmas time has already come and go AGAIN! Only this time we had two little rascals running around our Christmas Tree! We stayed here in AZ this Christmas, and had so much fun. Brian was able to take a few days off the week of Christmas to hang out with us and we cherished every second of it. We played together, sang Holly Jolly Christmas a million times, and most importantly, loved every minute together as a family. I love Christmas, and we were truly given the best gift ever on that first Christmas morning, the birth of Jesus Christ. I know that without him I would not have any of what I have today.

On a less spiritual note, we had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve dinner with my mom was great. Christmas morning was so priceless, the look on Logan and Jaxon's faces when they came downstairs to see all the presents under the tree. They were stunned! So unexpecting of anything, yet full of joy. They loved opening the gifts, and telling us to tell Santa thank you. Logan is still puzzled by how Santa brought him all of the presents and he didn't see him at all... It was great. It's so fun to be parents and watch your kids just full of happiness. I hope you all had a great Christmas, presents or not. After all that's not what Christmas is all about..... It's about our Savior, Christ the Lord. He was the best gift ever. Merry Christmas!

Snow Day

This was the closest thing to a smile Jaxon made the whole time we were there.

A few days before Christmas there was a huge blizzard in Flagstaff and the higher elevation areas, like Payson. So we took a day trip to Payson two days before Christmas. It was BEAUTIFUL! Payson is such a pretty town anyway, but to see it just covered in snow was such a sight! Logan kept asking if we were there yet, and then fell asleep 20 minutes before we got there, so he missed most of the snow on the drive there. We got out and played around by the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery.

Brian and Logan built a snowman.

Logan ate the snow. Jaxon ran around for a few minutes, until he got mad because he was cold and wet and kept falling in the snow.

Jaxon cried almost the entire time. He's not a fan of the cold. Then he cried the rest of the time we were there. Oh, except for about a minute when he went tubing down the hill with Brian.

Brian went sliding down a hill about ten times, until the tube hit a rock and it exploded.

Within five minutes our fun adventure in the snow turned into a horrible-lets get out of here as fast as we can- experience! The boys had so much fun for about 30 minutes and then they had just HAD it! They were done being cold, done being wet, done eating snow, done freezing their butts off, and just wanted to be warm and dry. So we changed them into their spare dry clothes, packed up and drove back home.

We all had a great time, but there's definitely a breaking point with kids, when you just have to get out of there. So I think we would do it again, next time with some snow gear, but we had so much fun!

Corn Dogs

Logan LOVES hot dogs. I bought a package of frozen corn dogs for him, and gave him one a while afo. He started calling it a "Horn Dog." Yes, with an H. Why?? I have no idea? He used to say it just fine. But not anymore. He always says Horn Dog now, and it cracks me up everytime. Just imagine his sweet little voice, "Thank you mommy, I really like my horn dog!"

Just cute

This is the most recent picture... We just decorated our tree! The boys LOVED every minute of it! Jaxon kept taking the balls off and then trying to put them back on. We continued the Davis family tradition of letting the kids choose a new ornament every year, and the boys both chose big decorative birds! LOL! Seriously? Out of all the fun things they could get, Jaxon wanted that bird, and once Jaxon had it, Logan wanted it too... I actually like the way the look in th tree..... I think Brian's still mad. Fun tradition though.

Doctor's Office Playground. I think this was on his birthday, or around there.

Ya, I'm horrible..... Oreos for breakfast. It's one of my weaknesses!

Cute cap. We didn't buy it.
I can just hear Jaxon saying, "huuuhh!"
I'm posting these, just because they're cute!

Why I Love My Job!

This is one of the many reasons I love my job..... Check out my makeover! One day after school Trina actually let me do her hair and makeup! She looked beautiful... Then she insisted that I let her do my hair and makeup. I figured it was only fair. And what the heck, it's washable right??? This is how HOT I looked after she was done with me! Nice!

Jaxon Turns One!

On October 7th Jaxon turned a year old! I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and let him have a giant one all by himself.... To my disappointment, he didn't make that big of a mess. Why does that always happen? I think he was tired. We had a fun day of playing at the park and going to lunch and getting shots at the doctor..... It was a long day. But we had our own little family celebration on his actual birthday. Brian got him a baseball mitt and a little push motorcycle. Of course I got him clothes. He says "Ball" and sometimes "Mama" "Dada" and "Lolan" (Logan). He has climbed on top of our kitchen table and fallen off, probably more than once, and mastered going up AND down the stairs by himself within the forst 2 days of living in our house!. This little boy is so agile, I will be shocked if he doesn't play sports! He's full of life and we love him!

Frog and Lizard 911

One lovely day back in the apartment..... that seems so long ago.... Emily came over for a pizza day. The kids were playing, we were eating our pizza and drinking Wild Cherry Pepsi and Logan tells me he needs to go poop. So he goes to the bathroom. He usually takes a while, because it takes him some time to wipe his butt, and gget his pants back on and wash his hands. Well, more than a while had gone by and Em says, "Uh, is Logan still in the bathroom?" Oh no..... yes he was. I run in there only to see Logan, half naked, filling the Frog/Lizard cage with water. The poor frog was clinging to the sides of the cage, close to the top, and the lizard was completely on the lid of the cage (inside, duh).
I literally about have a panic attack for 2 reasons: 1: I know I'm NOT going to touch either the frog or the lizard to get them out of there. and 2: WHAT IF THEY DIE????
Yes, I was freaking out. I actually like the frog. I think he's cute. I still don't want to touch him, but I don't want him to die either! I really didn't want these little guys to drown! So in a panic, I call Brian, completely frantic on the phone. The first thing I said was, "Oh my gosh, we have a problem!" (This whole time I'm screaming to Emily too and and saying I don't know what to do!!!) Before I get to the whole story of what happened to the pets he asks me..... "Wait a minute, so where are the kids? Are the kids okay?" And of course I respond, "Ya of course they're okay....." Then he says, "Oh my gosh I could strangle you right now, you had me running out to my car, heading home..." He thought the kids drowned in the bath tub or something. Ya, I was freaking out that bad! I told him the whole story, and he said they would be fine. Just to unplug everything and wait until he got home. Crisis solved. And I didn't even have to touch them! Ya, it was funny. They all lived happily ever after.I think the frog actually enjoyed the bath time.

Logan's Hair cut.

This tells you how long ago this was..... Logan got a hair cut in this picture, and already needs another haircut! I think this was in August maybe. He's just too cute, I couldn't resist posting.

Catching up!

I have been HORRIBLE with blogging lately..... so here are some things that we have been up to. And I apologize for the quality of the pictures. They are all from my phone camera. Anywho, better than nothing right! Okay, here goes.

Summertime was fun this year with two crazy boys!
Most days they ended up in their undies outside at my parent's house, playing with the water. They love to help my parents water their trees! It's really cute. Logan likes the water so much he actually turned on the hose today, and soaked himself and Carson! Ya, not so fun in 60 degree weather! He told me he was sorry, and that he wouldn't do it again....... we'll see how long that lasts.

Happy Halloween

Okay, so I know I have been Queen of Lame with blogging lately..... I don't even know why. Well, here are a few things that have happened recently. Jaxon turned 1!!! I can't believe he's already a year old. He is so happy, and such a happy mischievous boy. We love him dearly. He loves to say GO and BALL and sometimes mama and dada... not very often though, and with much coaxing. He loves to play with Logan, climbs up and down the stairs completely by himself, and is so independent. Except when he wants his momma. He's such a crack up, and we just adore him. When I
think of Jaxon I think YELLOW.... because he's just sunshine when he's happy, such a light in my life! I wouldn't trade him for anything!

Logan has been loving our new house, and walks with Madi. He also recently told me that Carson and Trina are his best Friends..... His newest thing is he wants to have a sleepover with Carson.... Where did he even get that idea from? I have no idea. I have never even mentioned it to him, and didn't think he knew what a sleepover was. He asks to play and go for a walk with Madi every day. He (and me too) is sooo lucky to have such great friends and family!

Brian finished his first two MBA courses, and did really well... an A and a B!! He's on his way to success! He is super helpful, and cherishes every minute he gets with the boys, well and me too.

I have been doing a lot of sewing lately. I partially made the boys costumes, and I've been working on a project for Heather's friend who is having a baby! And I've just been lazy and busy all at the same time!

The picture is from Brian's work Halloween party. I didn't take any pics myself, but I think Em and Heather took some, so I'll have to get their pics to show you how cute the boys were for Halloween. They were adorable!

Home Sweet Home

I am so happy right now. I LOVE my new home. The boys are both over their illnesses, and we're all ecstatic about our new house. Every time we drive in the garage, Logan says, "Mommy look at our new dodge (garage)!" The boys love it, I love it, and Brian loves it. We went to our new ward today, okay only to sacrament meeting..... we had Trina with us, so that was interesting, but so many people said hello to us. I finally feel like I'm home. We have been busy decorating, and getting situated, and now I'm just soaking it all in. I am so blessed! We have jobs, healthy boys, each other, and now we have a home. It's more than I could have dreamed of..... I know that sounds lame but it's such a difference moving from an apartment to a house! And I love the neighborhood, and going for walks. I love having space for entertaining and having friends/family/nephews over! It's the best ever!

Sick boys, Strained Neck, and Moving Oh MY!

Both of the boys have had runny noses for about a week now, and I think it started off as allergies. Well, it turned into two super fussy boys, sleepless nights, and fevers over 100 degrees. I took them to the doctor yesterday and they both have sinus infections and Jaxon has double ear infections! So sad, right! Well, it gets better.... Jaxon has been waking up every few hours at night and just wants to be held all the time, so we had him sleep in our bed last night. So, he's only a little over two feet long, but that little boy, and Brian managed to hog almost our entire King Size bed! This left me sleeping on the edge of the bed, with my head falling off the side almost all night long. I woke up this morning with a seriously strained neck, and it is KILLING me! I have been popping pills all day, and it still hurts! Oh ya, and the other thing exciting thing is that we're moving this weekend! I am soooo stinkin excited! We're moving into a house owned by Heather's parents, and we couldn't be more thrilled. It's off of Higley and Frye, and it's so cute! Anywho, I'm in the middle of watching my new favorite show, Glee, have you watched it? It's awesome. Just wanted to give a little update! I will post after we move in!

cute crafts

I made some cute stuff this weekend so check out my boutique blog! cutiepatutiebowtique.blogspot.com

San Diego Vacation

These were probably the nastiest things I learned about this weekend. They are sand crabs, and they live in the sand along the shore. All those little divets in the sand that look like V's are actually them. I didn't believe it until I watched Brian and Grandpa D. dig them out. They look like sea roaches. They are disgusting, but of course Logan had fun with a bucket of these!

Don't you love how neither boys are looking at the camera...

Meaghen, looking hot as usual! No wonder the boys love her!

Logan fell asleep on the way home from the beach.

Logan loved this boat. He tried to make it float in the water, until the waves knocked him over..... that was the end of that! But it sure was cute!

Okay, seriously how cute is his expression in this picture!

Covered in sand, loving every minute of it.

The footprint on the left is mine, and the right is Jaxon's.

How adorable are Jaxon's footprints in the sand! I was obsessed with these footprints!

Jaxon LOVED chasing the seagulls around!

I like how the boys have the same expression on their face in this picture!
I think Grandpa Davis is super photogenic! Seriously!

Last weekend we loaded up the van and drove to San Diego for a wonderful family vacation! Brian's family were amazing hosts, as always, and we had soooo much fun with them. I'm so thankful that my boys love their grandparents and aunts and uncles. We went to the beach 3 times, and it was JAxon's firt time there. He didn't even hesitate. He ran straight for the water the minute he could. He LOVED every minute of it. Logan had fun in the sand digging holes with Grandpa and Daddy. The boys were both covered in sand, and Jaxon of course ate some, so he had some sandy diapers! We practically had to pry the boys away from the beach when it was time to go. We had dinner at Pizza Port in Solana Beach which is one of my favorite things to do there. We hung out with Tiffany, and just RELAXED! It was the perfect getaway! The water was super warm too, like 74 degrees, which seldomly happens. I want to go back already! Thanks to Emily for letting me borrow her P & S camera and of course thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Davis for making this an amazing vacation!
