Sadie is crying right now, so here's my story with her in a nutshell! So, this is for my own memory, and in case Sadie is curious as to how she entered the world someday!!! So, I had been dilated to a 3 for about since I was about 37 weeks along, and stayed there. I have never dilated at all before I was in actual labor with my boys, so I thought I would go into labor any day and have her. I ended up at my 39 week check up and my doctor said he couldn't induce me until friday morning. There was NO way I was going to wait until Friday to have her, so I asked my doctor what I could do. He had already stripped my membranes twice! He told me that if I got my contractions going and went to the hospital he would make sure I delivered. So I took black and blue cohosh, and walked aroud the mall to stimulate contractions then literally speed-walked into the hospital. Of course they stopped and I almost went home, but my doctor was amazing and told the nurses to admit me because I had fast labors..... which was a total lie! So they admitted me, started me on the IV and penicillin, because I was Group B Strep positive, and around 12:30 the doctor broke my water. Then I went walking, and at 1:30am I got the epidurral and started pitocin. Then at 4 I started pushing, and in 2 easy pushes, she was out.... no episiotomy, no major pushing, she almost came out on her own! It was such a great experience. The after labor was painful, more so than the actual labor. But she cried immediately and latched on right away, and was just a beautiful little girl! She's almost 2 months old now and weighs 10lbs 2 oz, she's just the cutest little thing ever! She smiles here and there, and is very alert and looks around all the time. I can't get enough of her!
