Today being Father's Day I just wanted to take a minute to say how thankful I am for Fathers. I have a wonderful Dad who taught me so many important principles, like working hard, and not doing a half-assed job, and always paying your tithing first, doing all that you can to strengthen your testimony and become more like Christ, and a million other things! I love my dad, and am so thankful for all he does for me. I am also sooo blessed to have a wonderful Father-in-law who has shown me unconditional love and kindness. He calls me just to see how I'm doing, and he treats me kike his own kid. My dad and my father-in-law are two of the most amazing men I have ever met. I am so thankful that they hold the priesthood and bless me and my family's life.
I am also most importantly thankful for my husband who is the father of my child and future children. He is truly an amazing father. Almost every day he comes home and spends at least an hour or so just playing with Logan or reading him books. He teaches him how to count and say his ABC's and of course Logan always responds so much better to Brian teaching him than me!!! Brian is always sad when he leaves Logan and sooo excited to see him when he gets home. He is the best daddy, and I am so thankful for him. I love him so much, and I know Logan does too!
To all you out there who have a Dad or a husband who is a Dad, let them know how much you love and appreciate them! We all need to know it every once in a while!

Logan's 2 Years old!!!

On May 31st Logan turned 2 years old! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! I still feel like just yesterday I was changing my shirt because it was drenched with spit up, and now he's learning how to ride a tricycle! He is such a sweet little angel, and I love him soooooo much! He is saying all kinds of words now, some of his favorite things to say are of course, Mama, Elephant, Dog, Need Help, more, thank you, nite-nite, and a hundred other things! He really just LOVES to talk....hmmmm, I wonder where he got that from! I gues me and Brian are really in for it, because we both love to talk! Anyway, here are the details of the birthday party!
We had Logan's birthday party at my parent's house on the 30th, and we had pizza (Logan calls it Tippa) and me and my mom tried to keep the tradition up by making Logan's birthday cake. Logan actually helped me bake the cake mix at home before I took it to my mom's to help me decorate it! He had lots of fun with that and he's such a good helper in the kitchen! We made an Elmo cake because Logan loves Elmo right now! He didn't really know how to blow out the candles but he loved every minute of the attention and of course, he LOVED the PRESENTS!!! He got some clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Grover, and a super cute card from his cousin Carson, and he got an adorable Tricycle from Aunt Shannon, Uncle Matt, and his cousin Jacob. We got him some cute new shoes, (ya know, the necessities, shoes, clothes, undies for potty training, learning things...) and he just had a blast! He is such a smart boy, and I am soooo blessed to have him in my life! I thank God for him every day and I know that he was truly sent here for me and Brian, and everyone else's lives he touches!

The results are in...
Well, on Thursday, we found out what we're having.... It's a boy. I don't know what else to say. When I get over it, I'll post the pics of the ultrasound. I'm still in denial....
By the way, here are some things NOT to say to me right now, especially in an effort to comfort me:
"Are you okay?"
- How do you feel when someone asks you if you're okay? Usually no matter how I feel it makes me cry, so yes I'm okay, and please don't ask! :)
"Boys are fun!"
-For one, I already know how fun boys are.....I ALREADY HAVE ONE!
-For two, is that supposed to make me think that girls are NOT fun??? Yeah, don't even try to tell me that it's not fun painting your little girl's nails, or curling her hair.....
"Another boy will be good because Logan and the boy can play together!"
-So what, he wouldn't play with a little sister??? And don't you think there will be more fighting with two boys rather than a boy and a girl? Come on now, I have brothers, and they fought way more than the sisters did.
"Just think about how cute Logan and his little brother will be!"
-Okay, I already had a super cute boy, and honestly I'm a little concerned that this boy might not be as cute as Logan....But still, I'm his mom and I'm sure I will be thrilled when he comes.
Pretty much just don't say anything right now! :) Just kidding! I am honestly happy that the baby is healthy right now and even though it's a boy, I know I will love him as much as I love Logan. I'm not going to lie, I wanted to have a girl the first time, and I wanted a girl this time. I am starting to think that I will NEVER have a girl. That's just my gut feeling, and it makes me sad, but I guess Heavenly Father knows what's best. I have learned a few things from this experience.....It's that I should listen to the spirit's promptings more, and trust them to be right, instead of doubting. Because I knew from the beginning that this baby was a boy, and I felt very strongly about it for a long time, up until this last month....But really all that happened was I tried to convince myself that I'm just crazy and didn't have a feeling that this baby was a boy, so I was doubting it and thinking that there was still hope it was a girl. Well let me tell you, I am definitely going to try harder to listen to my feelings and not doubt when I get a prompting from the Spirit. I know all of this sounds really lame, but I really think this was a learning experience for me. And just for the record I AM FINE!!!!!!! I am happy that it's a boy, and healthy. And I honestly just can't wait until he's out of me!

Memorial Day!!!

Yesterday was Memorial Day! Brian had the day off and we all spent the day together. It was sooo much fun! We started the day off with the Veggie Tales movie The Pirates who don't do anything, but Logan got a little restless during that, and neither Brian or I were into the movie either, so we left. Then we tried some shoes on Logan at the mall and headed to the Phoenix Zoo. Brian and Travis went to a D-Backs game a few weeks ago and they got free tickets to the zoo with their baseball tickets! So we used those tickets and had sooo much fun at the zoo! I think Logan learned probably 10 new animal words! He is so smart, and picked up almost every new animal! His favorite ones were the giraffe, zebra, and the elephant. Or at least that's what I think! Then we went to my parent's house for a family barbecue! Travis, Emily, Carson, Tyson, Kollin, Trina, and my Mom and Dad were there! It was so much fun! We had such a fun day, and the weather was sooo perfect! I want to give a shout out for the people who fought for our country and for our freedom, and specifically my Dad, both of Brian's Grandpas and of course the troops that are fighting in Iraq right now, Trent (My little Brother) and John (My Brother-in-law). We are so thankful for all that you guys stand for and do to protect our liberty and land. I love my family and I'm so thankful for the wonderful Memorial Day we had!
Play date with Logan's girlfriend!

For the past 2 weeks in a row I have tried to do more things with Logan and other kids his age. I am lucky to have wonderful friends with kids his age! So for the past 2 weeks me and my beautiful friend Chelsey Howard took our kids, Logan, Shea and Lily to Barro's Pizza for lunch. I know that doesn't sound like much of a play date, but there's a play area for the kids there in the restaurant and they just love it! Logan and Shea play together really well and so I took a picture on my phone because they are just too cute! We plan on doing this all summer! Yeah!!! It's also a play date for me, because I just love Chelsey. She's one of my best friends that I have made out here in QC and I'm so glad our kids like each other too! The first time we went to Barro's Logan and Shea gave each other hugs and kisses when they parted! Logan cried too! So anyway, hopefully I'll get better pics soon, but this will have to do for now!
Logan got a haircut!

Last week, okay maybe 2 weeks ago, Logan got a haircut! Wow! time flies be sooo fast! Anyway, I took him to my friend, Sara's house and she cut his hair. He was such a good boy and just stood there super still and didn't cry at all! He cried when we left, of course! It's so cute, just a trim, but if you look at the older pics like his playdate with Carson you can see the difference! I promise, he actually got a lot cut off! Anyway, here is his new do! The second picture he is wearing his new shirt that Grandma Grover bought for his birthday which is coming up! It's one of many, but we had to save some for him to open on his birthday! Thanks Grandma Grover! We love you!
Logan's new hat!
